About MC Motorsports MC Motorsports was founded in February 2006 on ambition and support. Owner, Matthew Connell had the ambition, Joe Wright of Ultramax Racing Chassis supplied the support. Mr. Wright helped supply me with the equipment to get a tire business off and running. After weeks of hard work, planning and praying, things were off to a great start. With heavy backing from Ultramax we were able to offer Ultramax Racing Chassis, UltraKutz cut tires, and our own line of tire preps. After the first few months of business, we had also started a small racing team consisting of drivers Tanner Bohlen and Annabeth Barnes. Months later we added Eric Riggins Jr. to the team. By August I had decided to add engine builder, Tim Fishel to the MC team. With enormous help from Darren Barnes, (Annabeth's father), and my dad, we started hauling equipment, parts, and supplies into a shop behind Tim's house. Tim brought with him, 6 years of engine building experience and a knack for horsepower. With the help of all of my supporters, as 2006 came to a close, the tire and engine shops were going full-force. Before we knew it, our drivers and customers had bagged numerous state championships that year, not to mention two Jr. Big Dog titles (Annabeth Barnes & Wilson Keene). 2007 went very well for MC Motorsports. Our drivers and customers had very successful seasons. State titles were bagged in VA, SC, GA, TN, and the infamous Tri-State Series. Four drivers also bagged notable wins in 2007. Missouri's Trevor Hunt,9, picked up the victory in the Mid-West Jr. 1 Kahuna. North Carolina's Eric Riggins, Jr., 12, picked up the win in the Jr. 2 Kahuna on the east coast. Then in November, Georgia drivers Houston Smith,12, and Wilson Keene,14, bagged themselves a couple of Jr. Big Dog Championships in Jr. 1 and Jr. Gold respectively. This capped off an already awesome season for MC Motorsports and our customers! 2008 has already gotten off to a bang and looks to be another successful year and season for MC Motorsports. Only God knows what is in store for us for the future. |
